Best Travel Lenses for FUJIFILM Mirrorless Camera

One of the greatest advantages of mirrorless cameras is their size and weight which makes them perfect for traveling and EDC. Long gone are the times when to get high-quality vacation pictures you had to carry around a big, clunky DSLR. Following is the list of Fujifilm lenses that are perfect for traveling.

FUJIFILM XF 23mm f/2 R WR

Is there anything more versatile than a 35mm full-frame equivalent lens? Not too wide and not too narrow, I fell in love with a 23mm ever since I bought X100F. Fantastic for street photography and lifestyle portraits with an extra context. Beautiful metallic housing, pleasantly tactile clicky aperture ring, and outstanding image quality. 23mm is probably the “desert island” lens. If I had to choose one lens for the rest of my life it would be the 23mm F2. It is THAT good.

FUJIFILM XC 35mm f/2

Even though a relative newcomer there is plenty to love in the new budget “nifty fifty” that is cheap, light, and compact. Even though it is made of plastic and has no weather resistance it has one incredible feature – it boasts the same optics as its more expensive alternative FUJIFILM XF 35mm f/2. Which means that you essentially get the same great optical performance at half of the price. Great for low light portraits and street photography, the “nifty fifty” lenses are here to stay!

FUJIFILM XF 10-24mm f/4 R OIS

For the aficionados of landscape and street photography, the full-frame equivalent of 16-35mm is probably one of the favorite zoom ranges. Quite wide at 10mm for beautiful interior shots or narrow, romantic streets of old historic towns. At 24mm it becomes solid landscape photography or portrait lens for lifestyle shoots. Relatively compact, and most importantly – sharp!

FUJIFILM XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS

Did you really think that I won’t mention the legendary “kit” lens? If you are the person that cannot commit to one prime lens or just don’t want to swap the lenses too often while traveling (darn those pesky dust particles!) the standard zoom lens might be the perfect choice for you. Of course, it is not as good as the XF 16-55 F/2.8 but it is much lighter and compact! Plus, 18-55mm has OIS. Don’t be scared by the “kit” in the naming, there is nothing cheap about this lens. It is built like a tank and the image quality is very good.

FUJIFILM XF 55-200mm f/3.5-4.8 R LM OIS

If you’re into safari or impressive perspective shots in the landscape photography – look no further than this beauty. It is very compact in comparison to the XF 50-140mm F/2.8, has image stabilization, and will deliver sharp images without being too heavy on the hands and wallet!
