How Original do you Want to Be?

For me, creativity is an impulse, a way of expressing myself through an image that represents a thought or idea. I don’t necessarily think of myself as a creative person but I am, as demonstrated by a continual supply of original images in my photographic library. And I can access that creative impulse through photography.

I don’t always get it right, but over time I learn from my mistakes, my successes manage to seep into my subconscious, which in turn enhances my creative abilities.

I don’t always get exactly the image I’m after when I make an image, however, that’s what I think photography is all about.

Be your own person, express your own unique ideas and thoughts, and don’t follow trends. Originality is the key to photography art, and creativity is one of the elements that make an image original.
